We are continuing to improve and implement changes to the show in 2023 in support of our commitment to a more sustainable future.
We are proud to be a partner of the #ONELESS PIONEER NETWORK – to reduce and eliminate plastic bottled water in favour of refilling and reusing at our events.
This year, we also pledge to help build sustainable forests and woodlands of the future by planting a tree for every delegate who attends via a mix of the National Trust scheme in the UK and Ripple Africa helping to protect existing and build new protected woodlands across Africa.
Other improvements and changes include:
- BYOB and refill using water fountains around the venue
- Our graphics for the exhibition stands and signage are printed on fabric and we avoid using dates where possible so we can encourage our partners to reuse it at future shows
- All of our lanyards and wristbands are made of recycled plastic or bamboo
- Our food trucks/stands have a no plastic policy with their packaging and cutlery
- We use non-tearable badge-stock for badges to avoid plastic sleeves
- All our coffee cups are 100% compostable
- Mixed recycling bins are located around the venue
- Moving essential information to the event hub over a paper brochure
